Pair of matching kimono kites made around 1996. They fly very well when the cross-spars are pre-bend a little. They don't need a tail but it looks nice when they have one.

Some Kimono info: The origin of this kite is Japan and traditionally it is made with bamboo spars and paper. The kite is typically decorated with water colors and shows traditional motifs like goldfishes, the sun, etc. These days we frequently make them using modern materials like rip stop nylon and carbon or glass fiber spars. The kites shown are about 1.2 m in hight and thus quite small for me.

Kimono based on another color scheme. I need to find better images of this one. There is a twin to this one as well :).
